John has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association since 1990. Since that time, he has been in partnership with his brother, Attorney Paul F.X. Yasi. They have built a practice in Salem, Massachusetts, which concentrates on civil litigation as well as class action lawsuits. John has practiced exclusively representing plaintiffs for over twenty years, focusing mainly on motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, products liability and general civil litigation.
John's class action practice primarily involves disputes with various insurance companies which are common to persons whom he has represented in connection with injury cases over the years. Presently, John is in the process of settling a class action lawsuit which he filed against most of the major Massachusetts auto insurers regarding their systemic refusal to pay his clients the interest they were due following arbitration awards. The filing of the lawsuit, and it successful litigation, has led the major auto insurers in Massachusetts to now voluntarily pay the interest owed to the customer, without the need for protracted litigation, court costs and attorney's fees.Thomas F.
